Bath time in our house is not a happy time for anyone involved. Just thought I would share our misery with everyone.
Josie does not like the bathtub. She does not like getting a bath. We have tried the following without sucess:
Little bit of water, Lots of water, Bubbles, Toys, a Shower

She even asked that the Wiggles be turned off. I think she didn't want them implicated in bath time.
ReplyDeleteSorry bathtime is so upsetting for her!! I understand some kids just hate it! Does she like water in general? like a pool? What if she took a bath with a friend? Like if Josie and a friend wore their suits in the tub and had a little party?? When Renee visited Madeline and Emily took baths together...they LOVED it!! But neither of them dislike baths to begin with. Just a thought...
ReplyDeleteJosie hates the pool too. She doesn't like the baby pool or my mom's big pool. I tried a suggestion from my sister and kinda do a sponge bath kinda thing with a small tub of water in the big tub with no water in the big tub. That was a no go. I am starting to think it might be the whole naked in the bathroom thing. I think this becuase she started to cry and carry on when i took her diaper off and put her in an empty tub. I don't know if the bath with a friend will help or not becuase she still wants nothing to do with the baby pool even after Jackson had a great time in it. So we just try to give her a bath 2 or 3 times a week. I am going to try a baby shower wand next.
