She said what?

Lately we have been hearing a lot of new words and phrasing coming from Josie that I just have to share a few.

The other day Brian had picked her up from daycare and was taking her with him to the comic book store for his weekly trip when they pull into the parking lot and from the back seat he hears: "Hey wait a minute, I have an idea. Let's get a Mickey book!" Josie normally gets a Mickey comic book when she goes with daddy so I guess this was her way of reminding him of that fact.

Then the other day Josie busts out with an "Oh my goodness!"

Then there is the ever popular "I do it myself!"

Regarding food her new thing is when she is full or just doesn't want what you gave her is to say "I don't like it." And makes a squished up kind of face.

The other day I snagged a free pen from our local bank and Brian asked me why I needed another one. I told him that I broke the last one. He then asks how I managed that. I was carrying Jo at the time and I looked at her and said "well it wasn't me that broke it." That is when Josie shouts "It was ME!" Brian and I could not contain the laughter.

Snow Day

Today we woke up to about a half inch of snow on the ground with more falling.  Brian is the first to get out in the mornings and he normally reports how the roads are.  So I got up and got dressed for work and got Josie up and dressed.  We came downstairs and then the phone rings.  It is Brian reporting on the road conditions.  His report was that the roads really sucked.  And he advised against me driving in it especially with Josie in the car.  So on the last day of the year I used my last sick day so Josie and I could take a snow day.

Here she is eating cereal and watching Imagination Movers.  I am thinking that we might make some Cheerio necklaces later or maybe some bird feeding crafts.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Pumpkins, Hay Rides and Bunnies!

Today we went to CornFuzion! It is a farm out in the stick that has a petting zoo, hay rides, corn maze and lots of other things. We went with Danielle, Brad, Jackson and Danielle's parents. We had a great time. Josie just loved all the cool stuff to do.

Here is Josie and I on the hay ride. Daddy took this picture.

Here is Brad (sorry your head got chopped off), Jackson, Josie and I on the hay ride. Josie and Jackson just had to sit together too.

Here is Josie in the "Corn Crib." It was like a sandbox with dried corn kernels. Josie love it. I made her get out because some older kids were starting to play a little rough in the corn. She kept a handful and tucked it in her pants pocket. I am going to see if I can find a little jar for her to keep the kernels in.

The best part of the whole trip was the Bunnyville area. Josie just loves bunnies. She calls them all Thumpers (is sounds like "Berber" when she says it). She spent about 15 minuets here just watching them and feeding them dandelion leaves from the grass. I would pick a leaf and she would feed it through the fence and they would just eat it up. She loved it. There is video of it that I will post on Facebook.

To finish off the trip she did come home with a Josie sized pumpkin.

Bath time = crying

Bath time in our house is not a happy time for anyone involved. Just thought I would share our misery with everyone.

Josie does not like the bathtub. She does not like getting a bath. We have tried the following without sucess:
Little bit of water, Lots of water, Bubbles, Toys, a Shower

We even tried it with the DVD player in the room showing The Wiggles. She hated it still. Any suggestions on this one?

Blah, Blah, Blah

Lots of new words going around my house these days. Josie's vocabulary has exploded lately. Although if you came into the house you probably wouldn't hear a word out of her since she seems to clam up around new people. But at home and at Daycare she is talking up a storm. She says Hi and Bye and I love you. Whenever she give you something she says "Here you go." She recognizes the pizza delivery box (and I swear we don't order that often) and says "Pizza." She loves pizza. If you are sitting and she wants you to get up for some reason she pushes on you and says Up. She wanted me to come into the living room the other day and she pulled on my pants and said Walk while pulling me into the room. She says Hi Kitty and has gotten very good at approaching the cats and petting them gently on the back. All three cats come up to her now and rub on her legs and ask for attention. She also asks for Wiggles by name now. She calls them The Wiggies. There are so many other words too that I can't think of them all. It is just amazing how fast she has grown.

Josie and the pussycats

Josie and I were having fun with the cats and their feather on a stick. These were taking on my cell phone so the quality may not be the greatest.
